How cows get a snow mustache.

Cows will graze through snow.  They say cows will graze through snow clear up to their eyes as long as every third time they go down they get a mouth full of grass. I heard this at a grazing meeting. I don't remember who said it or who did the research.  But after I heard this information I started watching cows grazing and I believe it may be true.  What my non-cow owner readers may find even more interesting is that even when cows have hay in a rack, they will graze if there is grass instead of eating hay given to them. Cows are not lazy.
