Deer Hunters

My appreciation for hunting is not because I enjoy hunting.  In fact I have never been hunting.  My students, many of which hunt, often asked me if I was hunting each year.  My comment was usually, with a feed yard full of beef, I doubt it.

Here are a few pictures of my former students with their deer.

Ryan Reynolds - Central Nebraska

Leah Conner - Nihiser - Southeast Ohio
I really enjoy watching everyone post their "kills" on facebook this time of year.  I hope everyone enjoys their season and stays safe.  I also would like to send a THANK YOU to all the hunters who take vacation time to get up early and sit out in the cold, waiting for the perfect shot.  Although I don't get the idea of sitting out all day in the cold, after getting up early on what may be my only vacation time all year to shoot these deer.  I really appreciate you decreasing the population and keeping them off the road ways and continue to help motorists stay safe from those creatures.

I leave you this evening with this deer hunting humor.

Deer Hunting Humor

Two hunters were dragging their dead deer back to their car. Another hunter approached pulling his along too.

"Hey, I don't want to tell you how to do something ... but I can tell you that it's much easier if you drag the deer in the other direction. Then the antlers won't dig into the ground."

After the third hunter left, the two decided to try it.

A little while later one hunter said to the other, "You know, that guy was right. This is a lot easier!"

"Yeah, but we're getting farther from the truck," the other added.

HAPPY HUNTING!!
