The Farmer's Almanac

I have stumbled upon an old source of good information.  Then a few days later read an article entitled, "Does anyone still use the Farmer's Almanac"?  This is a good question.  So do we?  The truth is we are in a hurry and schedule around weather and family activities and although I believe that the Farmer's Almanac is accurate, it just doesn't always work into the schedule.  There will be approximately 12 groups of calves weaned here this fall.  Things that will be considered are weather, timing, grass available, location, time commitments by people weaning.

However, the recommended dates to wean in the next few months in case you are interested are:

September: 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th
October: 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th
November: 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th

If you have never used the Farmer's Almanac they give best dates for almost everything.
For example if you want to cut your hair and you don't want it to grow back, cut it on these dates:

October: 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 14th, 29th
November: 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th, 11th

If you would like to quit smoking try these dates:

October: 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 29th
  November: 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th
